I must have jinxed my cards after saying I'd had a few arriving really quick - none have arrived in the past week!!! I've had a few cards coming in to me though - Germany, Japan and New Zealand  |

Hahaha four finally arrived yesterday - to France, Switzerland, Canada and Russia I'll get more picked out randomly this afternoon and get them posted tonight  |

I've just returned to it after almost a year off. Sent 6 cards off today to Russia, Japan, Taiwan, Canada, Germany and USA MY new flat has a long hallway so I'm thinking I may display any cards I receive there |

I was a Postcrossing member a few years ago and also managed to find a penpal or two in their forum. Do you know, if the penpal section still exists in the forum? I couldn't find it.

Mille grazie! Unfortunately I can't access that page. I also had to re-register with Postcrossing, because hadn't used my account for quite a while and maybe even deleted it myself. I don't even remember. I probably have to to post a few times in order to get access again. |

Tomorrow is cheap postage overseas and locally by $1 so i will be sending out maximum cards for the next 2 months

I'm still sending postcrossing cards out and they are arriving in their countries but so far I have received none back!!! This royal mail strike business is starting to really annoy me...I can see me getting dozens of cards all in one delivery once things do go back to normal!

I think for mail going out overseas, Royal Mail are eager to get rid of them (fling 'em on a plane/whatever)...
As for incoming... well. Next delivery could be Friday... Also, some countries sending out are still slow, e.g. Russia. My last received one from there took 55 days. Patience dear Gilly, patience!

Yes, I've noticed cards leaving me are arriving pretty much as normal whuich IS nice cos then I can send more once they get registered......it would just be lovely to receive some back But I AM patient I'm aiming to write/send something in the mail every day this year and so far....4th January  ...I'm still on track  Sunday 1st ~ penpal letter to Anne in Barrow-on-Furness, Cumbria Monday 2nd ~ postcrossing card to Ukraine Tuesday 3rd ~ postcrossing card to Russia Wednesday 4th ~ postcrossing card to Germany Tomorrow will probaby be a letter as I finish work at 11am and will then be staying in to wait for a council repair guy to sort out my central heating & hot water. |
