Length of letters vary with penpal. Some write longer letters and I tend to write about the same length. At the very least, I like to write at least one side of A4 (although I tend to use A5, so two sides of that).

I use a variety of page sizes, but generally translate to about 2 A4 pages, both sides.

Mine usually end up between 2-3 A4 pages.

In average I think 2-3 A4 pages, but depend on the letter I'm answering and who wrote it and generally my life

Vita Dictat as the saying goes but generally it's either 2 A4 or 3-4 A5 both sides of course.

I'm hopeless at 'sticking to the point' and tend to write the way I talk....flitting from one subject to another Much as I try to write a nicely organised letter of, say, one/two subjects and a few questions or replies to questions etc I still manage to quite happily waffle on It's all still so much fun though Generally a letter will be 2 or 3 sheets of A4 or four/five sheets of A5. Occasionally more....but I never insist on or expect the same back from folks every time. One of my friends writes such lovely letters which may often be only two pages of A5 paper but they are so happy and friendly and lovely to receive And that, I feel, is the main enjoyment from writing and sending and receiving letters.

I generally write 2-3 single sided A4 sheets, but will go up to 5 on occasion.

A4? What's that?
I like the idea of folding A4 in half so it becomes an A5 pamphlet, but haven't done it yet.
Most of the time it's about 4 pg A5 = 2 pg A4. Introductory letter is 1 pg A5. (I used to do 2 pg A5 before I knew better. Meaning a couple weeks ago.)

I used to do 2 pg A5 before I knew better. What do you mean saying this? A long introductory letter may scare some people off; now I keep it to 1 pg A5. After that all bets are off and I tend to ramble on. Then I scare people off.

It depends on my relationship with the other person and how deep we get into things. All are different.

Yes, I try to keep the first letter to a couple of pages for that very reason....folk may think I write mini books all the time and expect the same back from them!

My letters vary but tend towards lengthy. I write as though I'm in a conversation and so I do rabbit on a bit I'm afraid. I like to make sure I respond specifically to all the info, questions and subjects covered in my pen pals's letter to me, adding my own news, info, thoughts and ideas as I go. Some of my loveliest pen pals write the most wonderful letters and I try my best to show my appreciation for their written gift, which a good letter definitely is. I try to be methodical and organised but usually end up rambling a bit, for which I apologise to my long-suffering pen pals.
