My new favorite os Private Reserve Blue Suede. It has a nice sheen to it on Tomoe River Paper, and on other papers too when I walk away for a minute and forgot to cap the pen. You might like it kps

Hi, I am new to the forum and found it by searching the web for a review of Birmingham Pittsburgh Bankers Ice Rink ink. I am a fan of blue inks that have a teal component to them (Iroshizuku Tsuki Yo, Diamine Asa Blue, De Atramentis Steel Blue are favorites), and I have just discovered Pittsburgh Bankers Ice Rink. I like this ink a lot, and I find it has decent shading in my FC Pocket 20 with EF flex nib. There is no sheen to speak of, but the shading is nice. Was wondering if anyone else has tried and liked this ink. I probably have fifteen blue inks inks in my collection. Another new favorite is Diamine Pelham Blue. Old favorites are Tsuki-Yo, DA Steel Blue, and Asa Blue (mentioned above), Robert Oster Great Southern Ocean, Noodler’s Bad Blue Heron, Q-Eternity, and Ottomans Azure, KWZ Baltic Memories, Diamine Blue Black, B’ham Point Park Fountain Turquoise, Parker Blue-Black, Kyo on Oto Aonibi, and Waterman’s Mysterious Blue (aka blue-black). I do like colors other than blue, but I tend to have fewer examples in other colors: Diamine Red Dragon and Oxblood, Herbin Rouge Grenat, Monteverde Napa Burgundy for reds, Diamine Grey and Iroshizuku Kiri-Same for grays, I am still testing browns, mostly in samples, and I have enjoyed Robert Oster Cafe Crema, and Krishna Oak. I do love Diamine Ancient Copper. My husband loves all things orange, so he has the orange inks covered. The green ones too. Sorry for the long post! Glad to find you folks. Welcome to the forum! I have a TON of blue inks, and I subscribe to the Birmingham Inks sampler pack each month - I haven't tried "Ice Rink" yet, but I think I have a sample of it in the queue.
