Diamine Salamander and Akkerman SBRE Brown in a M Pilot 95S and Noodler's Nightshade in a F Sailor Sapporo. Also got the latest 5 Birmingham inks from their Pen Parcel subscription. You'd have to get these separately now, or sign up for next month's new 5. How he's going to come up with 5 colors a month baffles me. Much less how to stock them all. Had a lot of colors in the line before this came up. I like that the newer colors are a bit less antique-y, since those seem to be covered now.

The swabs do look different but I find that when actually writing with them a lot of the inks are very similar, especially the blue/greens and the purples. Have you found this to be true as well ? The Washington Sunset looks to be very nice. Have you tried it yet ? I'm wondering how close it is to the old Chesterfield Antique Copper.

I get the idea with my typical EF or Japanese F, I would see more colors look the same. WSunset is closer to Diamine Ancient Copper. Chesterfield Antique Copper is more of a brown. Chesterfield Siam (Diamine Monaco Red) is closer but more red. Diamine Burnt Sienna or maybe Terra Cotta is also close, but doesn't have Sunset's pink tone. Which, BTW, I thought would make a nice match for my new pink Pilot Cavalier, though I got some Pilot Brown cartridges to try in that. The blue labels are half dried out cartridge blue in a JetPens mini aluminum EF. Great mini pen for $12.50.

I do usually write with a F or a Japanese M nib. I have a Pilot 78G with a B nib so maybe I'll try the inks in that pen. I just ordered the Washington Sunset and also the Fred Rogers Cardigan Red. I'm not a big fan of red inks but come on, it's Mr. Rogers and I need an ink to go with the Mr. Rogers stamps that are coming out later this week .

My current favorites are two Pilot Iroshizuku inks; tsuki-yo and yama-guri. Though somewhat on the expensive side I caved in a couple of months ago and must say they are totally worth it! I will buy them again when empty.
Other favorites are Pelikan 4001 turqoise, Pelikan Edelstein aquamarine and smokey quartz, Mont Blanc Irish green and toffee brown and Visconti burgundy red, just to name a few.
For letters I use them all and then some, for my daily journal I mainly resort to the Edelstein aquamarine or the Pilot tsuki-yo, which permanently reside within my resp. MB 146 and my Pilot vanishing point, both M nibs.

Well there's three brands I've never heard of. Looks like they're all Japan-only Sailor-made inks, something I've carefully stayed away from lest it become a problem.

Kingdom Note and some other shop exclusives can be ordered online (Google Translate helps a lot here) and forwarded to the USA through a forwarding service. Maruzen (in-store purchase only) inks are a little harder to come by and the Maruzen Nihombashi inks are a once a year Penshow affair, however, it helps to have friends and family (temporarily) in Japan for that. Many of these inks can be found second-hand, online, but the bids and markups are beyond demented.

Love Diamine inks too. But currently back in love with Robert Oster Summer Storm (bought a bottle after the sample I had). Not only a special color but the best name too ❤️

I was pondering a Diamine order for sparkles, but decided instead to go for J. Herbin's Rouge Hematite. Bottle looks lovely but haven't cracked it open yet.
My last Diamine order had sparkles plus a sample of Wagner which I very much like.
Current favourites, all from Diamine:
Purple - Imperial Purple Blue - Blue Pearl Green - Kelly Green Brown - Macassar
