books WG pottery paper crochet and knitting fibres fabrics stamps magazines I use for making paper fabric lots and lots of jewellery making supplies fountain pens retro furniture and lighting Over the years, I've had collections of books, papers, rubber stamps, pens, fabrics, magazines, cross-stitch supplies, quilting supplies, cut out recipes from newspapers, newspaper articles, multiples varieties of craft supplies, clothes, baseball cards and so on. It's only the last few years that I realized that I had hoarding tendencies that were soon going to go out of control, so I've tried to be more careful about it. When I was younger, I even remember wanting to start a button collection because I had read that Laura started a beautiful button string collection (from one of the Little House books). I actually have an older sister who IS an obsessive compulsive hoarder, and it's scary to see what she does. At one point in time, she did not let a single soul into her apartment for 10 years because it had gotten so bad in there.

Oh yes I collect all manner of things, and I love boxes/containers, too! My ink started in a La Couronne box (like, the box they mail stuff in, they're actually quite handy, not the standard brown flap box, but white with the kind of top that has a little part that slides in...) because there was just a couple, then switched to this nice large fancy "sewing kit" box as they grew, then switched to a drawer in one of those plastic things with 3-4 drawers?, then to the real drawer, lol. Now I have my samples switched out, also to a La Couronne box lol, because they overran their spot in the drawer and this way I will have room when those 2 bottles I ordered arrive. But now I'm not sure where to keep that box, haha.

My word..you are just as bad as I am....It's a good thing we know that we'd better be careful. sorry to hear about your sister. Hope she's doing better.

Not just stacking, but for light purposes, also. It's not so good to keep ink in the light. I know how that goes with the space, though! Haha. I have no idea what to do whenever I order ink after this current order arrives (the pen I got is a special order for them so it'll be a couple weeks). Maybe it'll keep me from ordering more for a bit. ... >.>

I finally took a photo of my ink. I had to dust all of the bottles first. They sit out, on top of an old china hutch that belonged to my grandmother, which is now used as a craft cabinet. Ink Collection by Shannon Killion, on Flickr

Looks lovely! I've got one drawer stuffed with ink in their boxes... I had decided it's full so I couldn't buy more before finishing a bottle, but guess what I just bought? *sigh*

The Goulet Pen Company just started carrying Robert Oster Signature Inks and temptation may just get the best of me.

Being from the Netherlands I really have to correct the omission of not owning at least one of those wonderful Akkerman inks. Shocking Blue is high on my list, but indeed: no space in my drawer...

I should be equally ashamed... I don't own Akkerman inks either... I bought Diamine Marine (loved the sample I had) and Diamine Teal. Pre-ordered the new Lamy pacific blue 2017 too. I had way more ink on my list, so I'm still kind of proud of myself, lol! (and I ordered a ballpoint - yes, I did! To write on the supercheap paper at work without the need to use those disposable pens.. it's a Kaweco AL raw, matching my work fountain pen!!)

I think maybe next time I need to take a train through there I will make a detour by the shop. Only trouble is we don't often go too far from home these days, so it could be quite a while!

I bought Diamine Marine (loved the sample I had) and Diamine Teal. How do you find the Teal? The colour's nice but I find it a VERY dry writer.
