So how many letters did you write over the past year? As my record keeping is so bad all I can give you is a rough number that doesn't include postcards. I came up with exactly 150 letters from my file of saved responses and I know I sent probably 75 to 150 postcards that I didn't bother to keep track of while out and about on vacations, trips to see the grand baby or day trips to interesting places. So I'm going to say 250 total and think that is probably a lower than actual figure.
I'd put a poll on here but I think just a simple reply with a number will probably work just as well. I'm shocked at the actual number I sent as I would have guessed no more than a hundred letters with how far I usually get behind during the summertime but once I think about it more I did send out right at 60 pieces of mail in just February alone. Imagine how many I could get out if I was more consistent!

I wrote over 300 letters in 2018. I am not really surprised. I didn't send many postcards although I did celebrate my 10th anniversary on Postcrossing.

I just counted 156 letters. Have a little notebook and record the date when a letter arrives and the date when I send a reply.

In 2018, I wrote and mailed 179 letters and 641 postcards. Seems you need to up your letter writing offense as balanced is the key according to (American) football experts. A good Defensive Coordinator could scheme a game plan to stop your postcarding and pretty much have you at his mercy in a big game.

No wonder I have so much unused ink. I keep buying it, but have probably written maybe 50 letters over the year. Just a guess, but InCoWriMo is probably about half the total volume. I certainly don't average 3 a week or more like you guys.

I wrote 32 letters, that's the negative record in this thread so far! :-) My goal was 50 but given the circumstances (most penfriends were slower than ever, my own ups and downs...) I am still glad. I wrote some postcards of which I did not keep track, surely less than 20, and cards... a very few because I mostly enclosed them with letters.

My goal was 50 but given the circumstances (most penfriends were slower than ever, my own ups and downs...) I am still glad. Life was pretty poop for me last year as my Black Dog returned big style so I dodn't get to send out as much as I would have liked Postcards = 124; letters 47....most of which were in February and then a few in October/November as I began to feel better. Aiming to do LOTS better in 2019! My Happy Pills have kicked in and I'm exercising more, getting outdoors every day and just generally working on getting back to being Happy Gill

130. It was a down year for me but I had a lot of stuff going on, so I won't beat myself up.
