Fountain pens except for credit card receipts and postcards, for which I formerly used a Montblanc Rollerball. However, I used it so rarely that the refills dried up, and I now use either a Waterman rollerball my colleagues game me, or a ballpoint pen that a friend of mine made and gave me for that same promotion.
Why fountain pens? My mother, God rest her, wrote with a fountain pen, and the feel and sound of the nib on paper, the flow and flourish of the ink, and the class of the letter make writing with a fountain pen my primary choice.
Last spring Pen World published a one page article I wrote on this topic. If there is any interest, I'lll post a copy.

Thanks for the link! I was nodding 'yes' at the Search For The Perfect Blue Ink. You're welcome, sails. BSB is my go-to ink in all of my daily writers except the Montblanc 146 w/ Rose Gold Broad nib, which I fill with MB Lucky Orange ink because the seller posted writing samples in that ink, I liked the bright, cheerful color and honors the memory of Lucky the Jack Russell Terrier, my devoted friend and companion who went to heaven last June. Using Noodler's Dark Matter in the Montblanc 146 w/Rose Gold Oblique Double Broad nib just bought via this site. A nice black to which I was drawn by the clever name - turns out Nathan [Tardif] reverse engineered from some ink sent to Noodler's that they determined to be used on the Manhattan Project.

I've just got a Cleo Skribent gold classic fountain pen. Very nice and lovely nib. It's made in Germany and i like German pens. It's a piston filler and has a glass window showing the ink. The pens I use most though are Pelikan (M200, M400, M800).
