Autumn is approaching, the nights are drawing in. Less time to spend outdoors in the fresh air and daylight could mean more time for letter writing. But, we do have some members in the southern hemisphere and their daylight hours are increasing with more time for them to enjoy letter writing in the outdoors! I wrote letters on the beach this summer. No matter what time of year it is, nice post is always welcome.
Even though it is only just autumn, Christmas cards are being displayed for sale in some shops! However, I don't yet know the designs for the Christmas stamps this year from Royal Mail.
On a stamp forum, they ponder whether there is a future for stamp collecting. I think the same dilemma is in the penpalling world what with speedy email affecting both pastimes. However, I'm glad to see there are still people around the world who are doing their bit to save snail mail and even give stamp collecting a future. But, how do we get people interested in letters? I am still hesitant to advertise everywhere. I looked on Facebook finding a plethora of groups for penpalling including quite a few for prison penpals. I had planned to have some photos/bookmarks/business cards printed to encourage snailmail in general but time on me over the recent months vanished (I shouldn't neglect family and the allotment). I shall try to do something about it soon. I currently do not have a printer.
As always, I am open to suggestions.

That's what I am hoping for! (More time for writing, that is.)

I've recently added some more smileys. I will find a few more - I want them to be just right, rather than having something for the sake of it.
