Next month will see the first anniversary of this board. We have come a long way since then. I wonder what we could do to celebrate it.
The start of this month was apparently National Pen Pal Day. Well I never realised until after the fact. Are there any other letter-writing initiatives out there I do not know about?
Offline, things have been busier than I had hoped of late and so I haven't managed to get the promotion of Snailmail business cards/bookmarks printed. I am hesitant to directly advertise this forum as address security is paramount (and post office boxes in some countries are prohibitively expensive). Word of mouth/letter might be best for the moment. This forum has no membership fee and I prefer not to go down the paid-membership route some other penpalling websites have done.
Perhaps we could have a topic of the month / week to encourage participation and discussion on the forum. It is a bit ironic to be using the Internet to discuss SnailMail things.
The German section of the board will be relaunched later.
I am always open to suggestions for the forum.

As the mom of a 14-year old, and with Silver recently joining, I was pondering a section for teens. Any thoughts?

One approach to the "topic of the month " irony would be to require entries be handwritten and scanned. Could save a lot of postage costs. :-).
