I love sending postcards!!! Even on a day out visiting somewhere like a National Trust property or garden I'll buy some postcards to send......even if I AM back home later that evening when I write them out!

It is fine if I am local except I do not carry my addresss book with me!
When international I find that working out the postal system is too complicated for my holiday brain so I just bring postcards home and hope I remember to send them off in letters I write. I also nick stationery from the hotel rooms as they all seem to have little writing pad things and again, if I remember a) where I put them b) to post them in a letter I am sending off to a pen pal! Old age is not for sissies!

Was away for a few days... did take some letters to write, but didn't find much time... I did see postcards but again... time... as it was quite a busy time away. Oh, and postcards were quite pricey.

stompie , I also like to snatch hotel stationery. I miss the days when they would leave a few sheets of hotel letterhead in the desk in the room. I try to take a list of addresses and stamps with me when we travel. I have the best of intentions, but more often than not, I end up sending the postcards from home after we have returned.
