A follow-up question to the previous poll I posted; thanks to distractedmom for the inspiration. Adding: I realize people can be on a boundary. Go with the choice that feels better; if one doesn't, pick the one that has a longer timeframe. (e.g., if "three months" is too long, pick 3-6 months unless you get stressed out at that.)

Well, I think the first point of having a correspondance is to take both pleasure. So, as long as it's not annoying one of the correspondants, I think taking as much time as we want is not a sin !

I don't believe in time frames, and writing rhythms can vary, depending on the respective penpal(s). I totally agree with Rouge - as long as everyone's happy, there's no obligation with regard to how long it takes to respond to a letter. I believe we are all doing our best to keep the conversation going, and that's what counts.

I've been an absolutely terrible penpal this past couple of years as moving house, jobs, life events giving my poor head a fair old battering....I've been an absolute MESS!!! But finally I'm getting back to the happy GIlly I used to be and this past couple of weeks especially have got a few letters written and postcrossing cards sent out. It's a lovely feeling I've now got a couple of days off (not back in until 2pm on Saturday) so planning to write a few letters then

I feel like I get to a reasonable response time and then life gets crazy again. Thanks to all of you who are patient with me!
