WORLD FOUNTAIN PEN DAY 2015 GIVEAWAY
To celebrate World Fountain Pen Day on November 6th, migo984 and myself would like to spread the pleasure of writing with fountain pens by giving away three nice fountain pens to three separate forum members who do not currently use fountain pens or who have limited experience writing with them.
These pens come from our very large fountain pen collection. Undeservedly they rarely get a turn in our inked pen roster. We have double-checked them to make sure that they all write nicely, with good ink flow and smooth nibs.
The three pens offered are:
1. Italix Parson’s Essential, black with gold colour trim, and a steel two-tone nib that writes a medium line. Can be filled using a short universal ink cartridge or the screw converter that is supplied with the pen. A smart-looking, heavier pen, it weighs 36gm capped, 20gm uncapped. It has a screw cap
2. Parker 17, burgundy with gold plated trim, 14kt gold medium nib. This pen has aerometric (often referred to as squeezy fill) filling system which is very convenient to use and flush. A smaller, lighter pen, it weighs 14.7gm capped, 11gm uncapped. Cap is press fit.
3. Waterman Kultur, purple demonstrator (translucent), fine steel nib. Comes with converter included for filling, or will take an ink cartridge. A mid-size pen it weighs 18gm capped, 11.6gm uncapped. Cap is press fit.
Each pen will come with a ink surprise of either an ink cartridge or a sample vial of ink to try.
If you would like to try writing with a fountain pen, or you have had a negative experience with your first attempts but would like to try again, you can enter this giveaway by posting your experience so far and your reasons why you would like to receive one of these pens.
