Hello! Have you ever bought any inks because someone used that ink in the letter you received, and you liked it so much? If so, which ones were they? For me, Diamine Ancient Copper, Diamine Autumn Oak, and Robert Oster Toffee were the ones I bought after seeing them in someone’s letters.
Also, were there any inks that you used in the letters, and the recipients decided to buy? (That is of course if they told you) For me it was Diamine Tobbaco Sunburst.

It's been described as "a dark teal blue color ink, with a fantastic amount of purple and dark pink sheen." Or, maybe people like it because... its name is so long....

I don't recall who manufactures it though. I always appreciate it when penpals take the extra time to let me know what inks are being used in their letters. It's a good way to see what the ink color actually looks like on paper in real life.

Yes, in fact we have. One of our dear pen friends from the USA recently sent a card along with her letter and that card had a wonderful ink used on that, Montegrappa FireOpal. Diamine's Oxblood, Ancient Copper and Aurora Borealis are a few others that have tempted us, too. Hahaha, yes, isn’t that a nice color?? Love Aurora Borealis!

Noodler's Nightshade and Diamine's (sparkly) Moon Dust. Haven't opened the moon dust yet.

Very good question, I think. I love to see ink colors in letters. I might very easily use someone's letter ink as a way to decide on a color some day. I've admired a lot of them. No, no one has told me that they chose an ink color I used. I will look up Tobacco Sunburst based on the name alone!

I’m fairly certain I purchased Diamine Bloody Absinth after seeing it in a pen pal’s letter. I also purchased the Henry David Thoreau Walden Pond thanks to a letter and it is gorgeous, but a nightmare to clean.

I always love knowing what inks someone has used in a letter to me, even though the information is dangerous and could lead to mad shopping!
I'm on a "not buying anything but stamps" regime at the moment, so I'm using paper and inks that I already have, but that doesn't mean I'm not making a list.......

I'm sure that I bought Robert Oster, Fire and Ice after I saw it in a letter. I expect that there have been others, but that one leaps to mind

I only buy and use inks now that are waterproof, fade proof and in either black, blue or dark blue. No point in writing only to have it washed off, or fading to nothing. I might use one or two other inks if I like the colour but they have to be permanent.
