This year I have really enjoyed sending Christmas cards, maybe because, for the first time I was not late. So far I have received "only" three but I cheated and have hung on the wall many cards that arrived in the past years 😄

Some of my cards hence are more 'New Year cards' with a neutral winter theme... I hope that my friends know I'm thinking of them, anyway!

I taped our cards onto the wall space above our fireplace. Chuffed to have Creek, Icelandic, Japanese and Welsh seasonal sentiments.

You'll be happy next year then as I've already got Christmas postcards printed up with the Creek version of "Merry Christmas" right there on the front of the postcard. Now just not to lose them before next December

I got a couple out in Dec, but wanna send at least as many in January. 2020. Lord, where has the time gone. Y2K doesn't seem _that_ long ago.

When someone talks about things happening 30 years ago, I automatically think of the 70s - takes me a moment to understand that we're heading into 2020. That sounds very futuristic to me!

All told, I did better than I expected given the rest of 2019 (after InCo). Got about four out Christmas week, and maybe 4 in December before that. Few of those were pretty darn long, too. 18 pages of small paper, so 9 sheets, maybe quarter letter size so call it 4 normal pages. Was trying a mini Mead notebook and started with a Zebra ballpoint. College memories.
If I can get another few sent the next two weeks I'll be really happy about my modest efforts.

I mailed about 10 cards and dropped another 15 or so on my colleague's desks. I found several on my desk at work and got about 10 through the mail. I finished the ones for my colleagues while I was volunteering as a hall monitor during state-mandated testing at my daughter's school the week before Christmas. I probably wouldn't have finished them if it hadn't been for that chunk of time when I focused almost exclusively on writing cards and letters.

I actually send more new year wishcards, so whenever they arrive, it is never too late until the post officer lose it.
