Where has the time gone? I must sincerely apologise for not writing this sooner. Some of you know I have taken over as a carer for my elderly mother. Time for doing more things online has become restricted and I have not been able to devote as much time as I would otherwise have liked to promoting this forum more, and other snail mail ideas. Luckily for me, you've all been good - thank you so much.
At least I have found time to snail mail. I am also looking forward to incowrimo-2020.org, but I would like to see some smaller challenges for letter writing - rather than a letter-a-day, a letter-a-week, #MissiveMonday #SnailmailSaturday #SnailmailSunday.
One of the questions I get asked from non-snailmailers is, "What do you write about?" Five Questions, Answer by Snailmail is one thing I came up with for this forum because early on, and "what do you write about?" can even baffle those who've been writing letters for a while. Would a Five Questions, Answer by Snailmail tag work? I know we don't have as many members as Postcrossing does, and their forum has mainly postcard tags but also some letter tags too.
I wish you all a marvellous rest of 2019, and hope 2020 will be a fabulous year for you all.
A couple of reminders:
While it is nice to share pictures of incoming/outgoing mail (here, Instagram or elsewhere), please please obscure the other person's address - show your own address at your own risk, but please do not share that of others without their permission.
Be careful also when using the quote button to reply, do not quote someone else's postal address (on other forums, I still see this happening).
