I bought discount stamps on eBay and what a delightful surprise ! I've got only plenty of .46 stamps and .50 stamps. Guess what ? A letter or a postcard to the international is €1.40, so it is a great opportunity to put many stamps on my letters with 3 times .46 + 2 times .1 ... And the stamps from last year were, for the 3rd class (or the 2nd ?) .88, so I've bought colorful stamps from 2019 to make .50+.88.+1.+1 too :-)

To provide some variety on letters I mail abroad, I use the $1.00, 10-cent, and 5-cent stamps instead of the Forever Stamp. That’s a fun idea. A good excuse to go buy more stamps!

I am obviously ignorant about stamps. I just go to the Post Office and ask what is new. A lot of them I just simply do not like and so don't get them.
I go online to Royal Mail and look there as well but never see anything I really like.
Am I missing where some of you (UK people) get interesting stamps?

Oh wow, Mia! Those are great. I must see what we can find here in Australia. We seem to have few options but maybe I'm not looking closely enough. Lol Cheers D I do know there is something about tax... with Australia stamps - some marked International, others not (and I think you need more non-marked-international to send internationally). Australia Post has issued (or will issue) some Fire Relief stamps though...

Boris Vian was an enjoyable writer, not only for his political ideas, but also his style of poetry. Which is why I bought some stamps at his effigie ! How do you chose your stamps ?

How cool, Mistero! I choose mine for how pretty they are or if they support a charity I love.

I visit the USPS site frequently to check for new offerings. I got the new Pink Chrysanthemum Global stamps, several sheets of Year of the Rat stamps (love those), T. Rex stamps, and Scooby Doo stamps for my son.

Finnish post releases a great variety of stamps every year. Most of them are forever stamps. I have a stock of tens dozens of different stamps and I usually select the stamp so it fits the colors/theme of the envelope or the interests of the recipient. My favourite Finnish stamp is "gold swan" by Klaus Haapaniemi from 2015. Not sure if you can see it from the photo, but it's got golden details.
I bought a big bunch of forever stamps in the beginning of June, because the postal fees were once again raised on June 16 There were so many different I won't post all here. One of the most fun was this series by Finnish artist/illustrator Matti Pikkujämsä. I wish they sold the one with the person writing a postcard, and the one with friends drinking tea separately
Also love these new bird stamps!

I tried to google to see what the dragon stamps you people were talking about look like. You mean these from 2018? Those look cool too, but I also came across this Canadian year of the dragon stamp from 2000. Beautiful! I can so imagine what amazing mail art envelope you could create with it!

I picked up a couple of sheets of the "American Gardens" stamps.
I had an 'extra' $2 in my pocket, so I 'blew it' on one $2 "Statue of Freedom" stamp.
Looking forward to the "Fruits and Vegetables" stamps coming out in the middle fo July.

How cool, Mistero! I choose mine for how pretty they are or if they support a charity I love. I like to try to find colourful ones, usually with a nature theme Earlier this week I picked up a couple of packs of older stamps ~ cats and insects
