I just inked a pen with it. Verdict? Well, in order to test it, needed my son's help! He drew a cat! However, as most of the letters I write are done in public, I need a way to see what I am writing! A thought, in some letters, I have told jokes... the... what do you call a.....? I suppose the ink would be perfect for the answer (rather than, answer at end of letter).

Actually though... a perfect way to write a really private letter, in public! Lol.

I have a bottle and a UV flashlight. PM me a request for a Blue Ghost letter and an address and I will send a letter or postcard.

So I’m not a fountain pen person, so forgive the (possibly) silly question. Does the ink go on as a color (so you can see what you’re writing?) and then dry clear, or is it always clear? If it’s always clear I feel like this would be a huge challenge to write with, I think all my lines of text would end up crossing or overlapping, or something bad like that, if I couldn’t see what I’d already written. Or...maybe that would only be a problem for me because I write so tiny...? Anyway I’ve been curious about this, and I figured this would be the place to ask.
Also, I have a UV flashlight if any of you want to send a test postcard to me. Sounds fun!

The ink looks a bit yellow in the bottle, but it writes completely clear. I write in a dimmed room with the UV flashlight hanging from a shelf above or propped up somehow. I have also used a UV light that was so small you could mount it on the pen or your finger with the attached band. I prefer the flashlight though for the larger field of illumination. Katiel, I'll send you a sample, so you can see what it looks like.

Yay! Thanks, Matt! I’ll look forward to it. I got your awesome letters, and the reply is in the works (That triangle letter was super awesome, btw).

Just got a 4.5oz bottle of the blue ghost with a Jetpens order and a Fenix LD02 penlight with UV, so if anyone has an interest in an invisible letter lemme know. The problem I'm having is that it only really shows up well on paper without UV brighteners in it, and even the cheapie Staples Copy paper glows blue in UV. I have a scratch pad that's a step above newsprint that doesn't glow. Will have to look closely at some notebooks and cards to see if they qualify. Rhodia is glowy. Have a Sofirn 18650 UV light with a black lens coming, and a tiny rechargeable RovyVon light with UV on the side as well. Definitely need to find a journal I can use the stuff with. Also have plenty of ink too yellow to use for anything but mixing, or using blue light for contrast (yellow turns black), so that's an option if you don't want to go all the way to an invisible letter.

Tomoe River works great for non-glowy paper.

I have been filling my pens up in time for Feb. Put Blue Ghost in one... I think I will have to use it in at least one letter!

Refilled my designated blue ghost pen up last night. Still got a bit left of the sample that was sent to me.
It is probably a good idea to get a UV light thing, so you can not only read blue ghost letters, but also see some of the magic in some postage stamps (the Dungeons & Dragons issue from Royal Mail earlier this year has a secret to be revealed with the UV light).

A friend of mine gave me a bottle of Noodler's Blue Ghost for my birthday, which was a huge surprise! I'm not entirely sure yet what to use the ink for. I mean I can't just write an invisible letter or add secret messages to letters in the hope that the recipient has a blacklight. Sooo, do any of you have a blacklight and would anyone like a note or letter written in Blue Ghost? I would love a letter or postcard with Blue Ghost to decipher
