I use craft glue to glue my envelopes. I've thought about getting the glue tape stuff, maybe I'll have to try it out.

What do you guys use to glue the envelopes together? I thought about using Scor tape, as suggested by a pen pal, but doesn't that make the envelope not as easy to recycle? Wouldn't some form of glue be better? I am using a stick glue which says PVA glue, I don't know what is it. But it doesnt look like very strong. This is my last envelope: https://www.instagram.com/p/-t5gBZrr7C

There are glue roller tape things in the UK - Staples store sells the Pritt (PrittStick) brand thing at a high price. There is a home and garden store called The Range. They have a cheaper version of the roller - Stick It Permanent Adhesive Roller

I have an assembly line kind of system regarding making envelopes. I'll spare you the precise details, but suffice it to say that after chopping, scoring, and trimming paper I end up with proto-envelopes in three sizes: When finished, they look like this. The big ones are 5x7, medium ones are 4.25x6 and small (made from 8x8 paper) are 3.75x7. Here's a drawer of finished envelopes waiting to be chosen: When sending, I use Avery labels with TrueBlock technology, which work great over dark or busy patterns.

Here's one that's been through the post and got a little banged up. Dunno why the stamps didn't get canceled, though!

I've been experimenting with calendars to make envelopes, and gluing in a lining. Check out more envelope art on my blog - mostly incoming.

Those are cute! I confess I am generally too lazy to glue in a lining, though some of my paper is double-sided.

Listen, if I had doubled sided paper, I wouldn't glue a lining in either. but the other side of the calendar is super boring. ALSO, the calendar is a bit thin, so gluing in a lining helps thicken it up a little.

I got an envelope in the mail from Oregon that was really lovely. And the card inside - I'm sending her back this cute cactus envelope. with cartoon cacti on the inside. larger pics in my blog, along with another envelope, and some lovely stationery that my Oregon pen pal sent me.
