I've seen the New Reign miniature sheet online... It is likely I will not buy this issue! I may be able to get my hands on them. My local main post office has 2 in stock, but whether either will be there next week, a few days after issue... Nope, they sold out within the hour on the Saturday. I'll try another post office on Blackadder day. Not going to order direct from Royal Mail (I don't want to order even more stamps than I really really want to buy).

The month of May also saw the release of Blackadder stamps. 2 stamps each in values 2nd, 1st, £2.00, and £2.20, plus a miniature sheet with 2 x 1st, and 2 x £2.20 stamps in. This month, June, there'll be a stamp issue celebrating Warhammer. 2 stamps each in values 1st, £2.00, and £2.20, plus a miniature sheet with 2 x 1st, and 2 x £2.20 stamps in. The website, Collect GB Stamps has details of both, with that link taking you to the Warhammer details.

Next issue is Discworld - characters. £1, 1st, £2, and £2.20 - two of each.
This month, River Wildlife in 1st & 2nd class stamps, 5 each.
Last month, Windrush - two each of £1, 1st, £2, and £2.20
The £1 and £2 values are supposedly to make it easier to use stamps on parcels.

Yay. First class stamps go up again, at the beginning of October. £1.25 for the chance to get mail within the UK delivered next day.

For the price of domestic mail in the UK, those in the US can send global. I shoved USD $1.50 into currency conversion and came up with £1.18. £1.10 is the current rate of "first class" domestic mail.

That's a rip-off Exactly... For the price of domestic mail in the UK, those in the US can send global. I shoved USD $1.50 into currency conversion and came up with £1.18. £1.10 is the current rate of "first class" domestic mail. Domestic mail in Germany (20 grams, standard letter format, no oversized or square envelopes) is 0.85 Euro, that equals 0.73 GBP. International mail (same parameters as standard letter within Germany) is 1.10 Euro, that's 0.94 GBP. For letters between 21 and 50 grams (standard format) it's 1 Euro domestic (0.86 GBP) and 1.70 Euro international (1.46 GBP).
We currently don't have first or second class mail, but that might change next year - it's being discussed to come up with A or B priority for international mail.

I don't envy the UK->USA postage rate, but I'd sure love another round of Potter stamps. Or anything else fantasy / SF, really.
