Wow, thats sone serious envelopes going on there. I tend to make 20 or 30 and then use up til they run out and then make more. If I am feeling creative I cut out fancy labels and using brads attach them to the front which is why my envelopes dont get sealed early. Will have to check out those labels you mentioned though. I have some of Avery's recycled labels but they dont stick as well as i would like.

Brad = Brass Fastener
Wouldn't think these should be on an envelope in the mail, but as part of the assembly process, OK.

This InCoWriMo someone posted this page of printable templates. If you use the open office templates then you can add in graphics or a return address before printing. I find that works better than trying to run finished envelopes through the printer. If they don't jam or crease, they often end up printed upside down or sideways. It doesn't have some sizes I want, like 3.75x5.25 for 5x7 folded cards, or A2 for quarter-folded letter sheets. I did find with some scaling in the print dialog I could get those: A-6 at 103% 4 7/8 x 6 3/4 for B&N Stationery A-6 at 90% 4 1/4 x 5 15/16 for Rhodia A5 A-6 at 83% 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 for 5x7 folded cards I thought about the Memory Keepers board or the Kreate-a-lope templates, but I don't want triangular flaps and don't want to have to cut the paper to a specific size first.
I think I'm doing just as well with a cardboard rectangle the size I want (C6, holds anything). I put it at the bottom of the page with maybe 3/4" sticking out (doesn't have to be precise), and make one horizontal fold. Then move the rectangle up so its bottom edge is against that fold, and do three more folds for the other three sides. I end up with the paper (I only start with letter size) having four folds that mark off the envelope piece plus the four bits that have to be cut or torn out. That just leaves the top flap height, which I eyeball, fold, and cut as the last step. Glue stick or tape to finish.

A cheap and easy way to make an envelope template is to carefully open out all the flaps on one you already have, and glue that to some card (I used an empty cereal box), then cut carefully around it

I wrote four letters this evening and for three I made my own envelope. I find it so much nicer... I also decorate bought envelopes when I feel like it.

I make my own envelopes and I don't use a template. I keep the size down so when I mail it out - I am not charged a lot of postage. X

I also roll my own from various materials, though I prefer old maps. Anything will do as long as it's not too heavy (or you'd need an extra stamp 😊)
I don't have any bought templates; I just take apart an envelope whose shape I like and use that to draw around. Then I cut the envelope out with a little craft knife. Takes me appr. 5 minutes or less per envelope.

Got low on envelopes six days into INCO... Just turned a Charlotte chart and a Cincinnati chart into 22 envelopes The only trouble is that they are so busy with lines and colors and words and such, that I need to put an address label on them just to have a blank spot for the to-address. And I'm out of address labels rrrgh
