Lined is fine but I do prefer unlined. I feel like it gives my handwriting room to breathe.

Lined is fine but I do prefer unlined. I feel like it gives my handwriting room to breathe. Unfortunately, my handwriting doesn’t just breathe, but it hiccups, belches, and gasps across the page; so unlined paper needs a line-guide beneath it to try and rein it in.

I use both. With lined paper, the spacing isn't always the best for my hand writing/ the pen I use. I've made myself a few guide sheets with different line spacing, so with unlined paper I can choose the spacing. I love Tomoe River, because it's transparent enough, so it's easy to see the guide sheet. Without a guide sheet, my lines tend to slope towards the end. I must have a heart condition!
