Wow! We just stopped at the post office and picked up the new "O Beautiful" stamps. They are so cool, and look way better in real life vs. this picture. Did you know they're based on a popular patriotic American song? I explained it on my snail mail art page. If you're curious, you can check it out here: Little Pinecone's Postal GalleriaOtherwise, you can just enjoy how pretty they are here.

The postal service is beginning to outdo itself, the photoluminescent stamps, and now these. Will have to check things out. I'm about 14 letters behind so i am going to need stamps!

And don’t forget the scented popsicle ones, too! Honestly, I think is the best year for interesting stamps in...a long time. Now, they just need to bring back those habitat frames where you remove the stamp from the middle of the picture (usually featuring animals from that habitat) and I would be a happy girl. Those were always my favorites.

Gorgeous! Modern stamps usually don't do it for me (I mostly use vintage stamps these days), but I agree that the USPS has upped its game the past year or so. I'm also liking that they've been releasing more stamps with raised impressions using the intaglio printing method! This gives stamps more visual depth and a tactile feel--love it. Off the top of my head, the current stamps that sport this printing method are 'Classics Forever', 'World Stamp Show-NY 2016 Folio', 'United States Air Mail Blue' and 'United States Air Mail Red' (to be released Aug. 11th, I have it on pre-order ). Hope the USPS continues to explore and innovate stamps!

I love how those ones feel.

I love the O Beautiful ones, they are almost as good as the national park ones from a year or two back. I have already gone through 2 sheets!
