*sigh* Best stock up on stamps before the price increases then And working in a post office I'll no doubt be getting earache from folk complaining as if it's MY fault! I often feel like saying, in say the case of a letter to USA costing £2.27, that THAT wouldn't even get you a taxi out of Alnwick, never mind to the airport to go to the USA, but folk don't see it that way, do they? I personally don't mind as I enjoy writing letters so much but I may have to cut back on the postcrossing somewhat

It looks like first plus second class equals £1.25. I am looking to stock up on seconds - bought a sheet of the Votes for Women issue. I may also ask out leeks (Welsh pictorial second class). Does your post office stock the pictorials (different to the commemoratives)?
I don't mind much the the penny or two price rise but I really felt betrayed the year postage was heavily increased across the board.
