Is the term snailmail, or snail mail? one or two words? Does it matter? Edit - removed the poll as I forgot about hyphens, after seeing the German translation on dict.cc Snail-Mail.

I'd like to know this! In Dutch, all combined words are spelled without a space, so I'm always struggling with these types of words in English. Does *not* help to know that there isn't even a rule for snailmail/ snail mail, lol

dict.cc has one word for the English (snailmail) but translates it into German with a hyphen (Snail-Mail).
