Anyone use Tomoe Paper that is left handed? What are your thoughts? I didn't know TR came in left-handed and right-handed versions. Maybe I can blame my poor penmanship on using left-handed paper?

Perhaps you should try the right handed stuff, getting the Bletchley park brigade to decipher your letters is proving a little expensive!

Perhaps you should try the right handed stuff, getting the Bletchley park brigade to decipher your letters is proving a little expensive! I wonder how TR does in a typewriter? Maybe I could still scratch a missive in my handwriting, but then provide a typed translation along with it. Mind you, I wouldn't want to do the Bletchley Park blokes out of a job.

I am a little concerned about how lightweight it is, but I get really geeked out about how inks look, so I'm willing to take a chance.

Anyone use Tomoe Paper that is left handed? What are your thoughts? I do. It's just like any paper I suggest writing slowly with pauses to allow for ink drying

Anyone use Tomoe Paper that is left handed? What are your thoughts? So worth switch hitting. Short of that, inks take longer to dry, but I have used a few that dry quickly enough in a light to medium wetness pen to do just fine on Tomoe.

Taroko Design on Etsy is offering TR 68gsm in cahier type notebooks but at my request is going to offer a writing pad (soon). The 68gsm is less slick and ink dries a bit more quickly (for you Lefties!!)

Tomoegawa is a lot more robust than it appears. I even paint on it with watercolours, including washing colour over the whole surface of an A4 sheet.

To clarify my post about Tomoe, there have been posts that have indicated is not very left handed friendly.
I have been using Tomoe River paper for several months for correspondence, with no issues of smearing.
The myth has been busted, I enjoy using the paper.

Lefthander use Tomorrow River all the time You need to remember ink dries slower on TR then absorbent paper

Anyone use Tomoe Paper that is left handed? What are your thoughts? Southpaw overwriter here, having trouble with it unless I underwrite, which feels too weird, or use a half sheet. And even then.

I have purchased from Nanami (my usual) and his TR is very smooth. I have purchased from paperforfountainpens.com and theirs is a little more textured. It's subtle, but noticeable. Both have been nice to use. But TR is a type of paper with multiple makers. I don't know enough about the grades and methods so it would be interesting to research. TR is not a paper with multiple makers. The Tomoegawa Co Ltd make a vast array of different papers for all sorts of uses. TR fountain pen friendly 52gsm paper was originally produced for printing catalogues. Various companies have ordered slightly difference specifications of TR paper from the Tomoegawa company.
