With a nod to the stationery addict list on Buzzfeed, how about we make our own to determine how much of a snail mail addict we are!
Should some items/steps/activities... have extra weighting?
Feel free to add to this list (I'm sure to have missed loads off).
Wax seals Nice postage stamps Washi tape Stickers Address book (more than one paper version) Include tea bags in some letters ...

Includes custom calling card for each new pen pal.
Considers an empty Black Rifle Coffee bag to be a viable envelope.
Has an enthusiastic postman who’s happy to come to the door saying “You got one from Australia today!”
Owns sufficient writing supplies to easily weather TEOTWAWKI and beyond.
Chooses the postal stamp to suit the ink color and recipient.

Considers an empty Black Rifle Coffee bag to be a viable envelope. Hmmm, I'm seriously considering using an Eight O'clock Coffee bag as an envelope now. The letter would smell divine! I've sent a letter in an empty Cracker Jacks bag and one in a Barnum's Animals Crackers box as well but haven't used a coffee bag yet. Postcards made from cardboard beer containers are old hat to me now.

Uses Artbin satchel to carry letter supplies and as a take anywhere light-box lap desk. Writes occasional letters with a dip pen. Writes a letter with espresso for ink. Purchases multiple pocket knives until finding just the right one for opening letters. (Sage 5, one hand operation, compression lock, just sayin') Uses perforated stamps you have to lick from the 70's. Builds or acquires writing desk. Makes own wax seal stampers. Cuts letterhead off old office stationery to save/use good paper. Keeps letter writing supplies in car, just in case.

Purchases multiple pocket knives until finding just the right one for opening letters. (Sage 5, one hand operation, compression lock, just sayin') I use a Gerber EVO myself as I like a knife that will fit my smallish hand. I prefer a knife that, with the blade open, will fit from the base of my palm to no more than a half inch short of the tip of my index finger. It's a preference picked up from years of hunting and having to dress game even though I no longer hunt. The EVO's a cheap knife so you have to use Loctite on the chicago style screw they use for the hinge pin but get it set and secured and it's an amazing one-handed knife. I get them at Bass Pro for $20 and it comes with a smallish multi tool. They used to pair the EVO with Gerber's Dime multi tool which is the perfect size for pocket carry but the Dime became so popular that they now charge $20 for it alone. This new multi tool is a tiny bit larger.

Oh! Oh! Swipes hotel stationery to send to penpals. 😁That's more or less me! I have a folder with all the hotel stationery I or my sister gathered, back when I used to collect lettersets! However I never use it to write... Should I?

It's become kind of a joke: we tend to send one another letters on paper that isn't great.

I think it's a fun enclosure. I have one pen pal to whom I often write using hotel stationery. It's become kind of a joke: we tend to send one another letters on paper that isn't great. One of my penpals picked up a stack of vintage letterhead stationery. He sent me one from a hotel/resort in Lake Placid, NY. I checked to see if the hotel still existed, and it does. And it turns out one of my friends did some marketing/promo photography for the hotel, and as I'm looking at the hotel's website, I'm thinking to myself "hmm, she looks really familiar."
