This is a question for our Dutch and German members. Does anybody know where I can purchase blank postcards that I can decorate myself. I received one and it is simply GORGEOUS. And being me...I have to have a go at it.
I already googled but haven't yet found what I want.
I have been buying double cards and envelopes. Guess I could cut those in half, round off the corners and make a postcard, but it's not the same.

Hum, I don't think that's something I've noticed before... Have you checked in art/hobby shops? Places like www.pipoos.com/ might have something?

I've been searching for blank postcards, too, and couldn't find any. Postcard paper is usually 270 or 300 g/sqm. "Brunnen A6 Karteikarten unliniert/blanko" could be an inexpensive alternative. They only cost 1,99 Euro for 100 pcs as PlusProdukt at Amazon. The grammage is only 190 g/sqm though. Of all "Karteikarten" Brunnen usually gets the best rating.
Otherwise just look for 300 g A4 paper and cut it into A6. Water colour paper is also available in that grammage - depending on what you intend to do with it.

Yeah that was the other thing I figured, just finding larger sheets of thick paper.

I don't fit the bill of Dutch or German, but what I have done in past is buy a ream of cardstock, or buy fun cardstock at my local craft store and cut it to size.

Stormymorning you are a life safer. Thank you so much. I had been searching for "blanko postkaarten " and came up empty every time. I will take a look at the Hema webshop and drive to Enschede to get them.

I can't find them. Saw the correspondentie kaarten, but I am not sure if they are what I am looking for.

Hi again :-) I've sent you a private message about where I get the postcards, like the one I sent to you. I get them from Amazon UK; they're Studio Series artist's postcards by Peter Pauper. I'd be delighted yo send you one of my spare packs.

These cards are generally made from rather light paper and rather thin. Not more than 200 gsm, I guess. I wouldn't recommend them, if you intend to paint something on them.
