Found this whilst looking at the 2017 InCoWriMo mailing list. Im interested, it looks like the FPN blog but I never had any success there as its mainly US based. This looks like its UK based??? NOT that country of origin matters much. Just to ask though... Is it a copy of the FPN blog and is it REGULARLY moderated and replied to enquirers. I would support a blog that is regularly used and modded. Thanks.

Although I am in the UK, this forum is for people around the world. This forum is nothing to do with FPN although I am a member (and so are some others on here). I am more active on the FPG forum and the seed for this forum was nurtured by events on the FPG and Incowrimo site in 2015.

On this forum I'm inspired to write letters. On FPN I'm inspired to blow my budget. I like here.

I should add that the emphasis for this site is on snailmail, but that does not preclude fountain pens because they are often used to write the letters.

Perhaps this has been covered before, but I notice various "levels" on the site -- crayons, felt tips, etc -- but I have no idea what has caused anyone "to advance." Is it time-based (how long since first registration), or the number of comments made, or how many times the site is accessed, or something purely random?

They are based on the number of posts/comments made (although it is possible to disable post-counting in sections/boards, and threads/comments there then don't count).

Are addresses exchanged and kept between the two pen friends, and not posted on a web page?

Hi Fred,
Addresses can be exchanged via private message. Some addresses have been posted in threads, but please not that is at the person's own risk.

Hi Mia, Could you please explain the "5 questions" section to me? How does this work? May seem like a silly question but I'm new! x

Hi Mia, Could you please explain the "5 questions" section to me? How does this work? May seem like a silly question but I'm new! x Currently on the bus, but I shall try my best, autocorrect allowing! There's a separate section on the forum here where you can see some of the questions asked and a thread about the monthly challenge.
