Hello !
To my surprise, I fell on a very good quality website, on which I've found some pretty letter paper stationery to print. Even if some might call them "childish", I really enjoy the proposed designs and even printed one to write some letters.
That brings me to this topic : whare are your thoughts about online stationery ? Do you use order writing paper online ? Do you print some letter papers ? Do you have any other great sites to recommend ?

I have saved templates for letterheads I have designed and occasionally print them up for a special letter. On a couple templates I have both lined and unlined versions. There are also templates for making matching envelopes. When I use the lines I start out with black lines and keep lightning them until they are just barely seen when printed, I don't want the lines to be so strong that they take over visually. I also have a variety of line templates that I print out and place under my writing paper so I have straight lines. I haven't found any commercially made stationery that I like. Fussy, fussy, fussy

I have tried to print stationery but find that once the page has been through the printer it affects how my fountain pens react to the paper, in an adverse way.
A piece of paper that is normally fountain pen friendly, after going through the printer then starts to make the ink feather and bleed. As a result I either do not do it or I position my writing so that I print the page after I have written on it.

I have had that with laser printers. That fuser really can torch some of the coatings. The Canon G620 I've been using for envelopes and homemade stationery hasn't seemed to make any trouble. Rhodia paper, mostly. Some Kokuyo KB.

And that did puzzle me because I figured that a Laser would do something to the paper because of the process but I do not know why an inkjet affects the paper.

That's a nice one, color LCD. Their "upgrade" went back to B&W.
Yeah, that's a head scratcher. Unless it's a stationery pattern that prints a light background in the writing area. Then maybe the little bit of printer ink affects the pen ink. Haven't noticed that with the Canon, and most stationery is fully blank where you'd write.
Huh. Well I'm glad I'm not having that issue, as it's one of few uses I have for a color printer.

Unless it's a stationery pattern that prints a light background in the writing area. Ah, I never took that into consideration so that could be the problem. Thanks for that!

I have used this site to print stationary in the past. Also on Etsy there are downloadable stationaries with relatively low cost. I also print 7mm lines on my papers with some added images with Adobe Illusttator.

I have printed stationery, both the actual stationery option, but also "borders" when I don't want to be constriced by lines!, from Muse Printables. The free version are watermarked, but for an extra penny you can get them clean. I use the free option.

If you look for "wall art" or "wall tattoos" on the internet, you may find nice ornaments to decorate your paper. Just place the image in the Word document and print it out.
As to ink jet printers, they should print the ornament only, but not the white areas. Laser printers heat up the entire sheet to fix the "ink", which actually consists of a sort of soot dust.
