Not sure where to put this but here goes.
Has anyone participated in Circular Writing? It's really fun.
A few people commit to this.
You write 1 page and send to the next person on the list.
That person writes 1 page and adds it to the first letter and sends to the 2nd person on the list.
and so on until it gets back to the 1st person who takes out their letter and adds another 1 page letter.
You get to read everyones 1 page.
I love the 5Qs because I get to write to alot of people but sometimes not everyone participates. I guess I don't need 5Qs excuse to write to anyone lol.
If anyone wants to do this I'd be happy to start/co-ordinate it.

I've done a couple of traveling/round robin notebooks and enjoyed them for the most part. This sounds less expensive as long as the number of participants doesn't get too high or if the paper size is kept to A5/half sheet size so one can get ~10 sheets into the envelope and stay under an ounce (~30 grams). If a fairly fast turnaround time is adhered to by the participants it can be quite fun. If not then it can be a half a year or longer before the letter comes back round and folks start to lose interest rather quickly. I'd consider taking part in another traveling letter especially if a good number of participants were not part of my regular stable of pen pals.

I'd consider taking part in another traveling letter especially if a good number of participants were not part of my regular stable of pen pals. One has to keep in mind that postal standards are not universal and can vary significantly from country to country.
The magic limit for standard letters here in Germany is 20 grams, and you have to stick to a certain envelope format. An international letter that exceeds the 20 grams limit (stays under 50 grams) but stays within the format limit is 1,70 €. If you choose a funny format (anything that's *not* in this format: Length: 14 cm - 23,5 cm, Width : 9 cm - 12,5 cm, max 1 cm thick) is considered non-standard, and postage is 3,70 €.
This is one of the reasons why I've never committed to international round robins / travelling notebooks. I do have something like that going on with one penpal in the US - we send a little notebook back and forth, it's within the standard size, but a little on the heavy side, so I pay 1,70 €. I'm happy to do that in this particular case, but otherwise wouldn't want to commit to anything like that.
That being said - I imagine it would be fun
