The 1938 is like a Parisian lover. The 1950 is of more sturdy stock, like from Idaho.
Oh wait, function? Hmmm, remarkably similar.

Ah, it may be a privacy issue - if your instagram account is private....

Ummm, so, I’ve joined the typewriter club now. I found a used Optima Humber 88 (aka an Erika 10). I’ve got it up and running now. Typed letters may be forthcoming.

You may find it's a bit of an addiction, not unlike fountain pens. Welcome to the club! The main reason I haven't ventured into typewriters is that, unlike fountain pens, they require comparatively massive amounts of space to store, and maybe even just to use. I suppose I could fit _one_, but that way lies madness.

This is my boat typewriter It's a Remington from the 40's None of that sleek portable stuff for me! It's another one that requires you to build exclamation points out of multiple characters.

although, that is a very nice-looking machine! radellaf, you are not wrong regarding the storage for typewriters. I have 6 that I use regularly that are just stacked up in my dining room since I have nowhere else to really put them. And that's all I can have, unless I find a better/bigger place to store them.
