Happy 5th Birthday to the A World of Snail Mail Forum! To celebrate, we’re hosting a super fun Snail Mail Photo Scavenger Hunt!
This time we’re going with a celebratory theme in honor of the forum’s birthday!
Here is what you need to find: . • A birthday card (used or new, anything goes) • A postage stamp that makes you feel happy • A sticker, rubber stamp, seal or something you could use to decorate an envelope, that’s party/celebration themed (balloons, cake, cupcakes, streamers, or something else - feel free to be creative! • The number 5 written somewhere (big or small, yes, you can make your own🙂) • A pen/marker/pencil used to write “Happy Birthday!”
Rules: Once you’ve collected all 5 photos (or all the items in one photo), you can post them here in your own post! (Just makes sure you say it’s for the scavenger hunt) All submissions must be submitted by midnight on July 30th. Drawing will be held by August 1st, and a winner announced by August 4th. Winner must contact us with a mailing address by August 7th to receive the prize. Contest is also happening on the A World of SnailMail Instagram and Facebook pages, and can be entered either of those places if you prefer. One winner will be chosen from these locations. *If sharing photographs of envelopes/labels, you must cover/blur any addresses or return addresses for the privacy of you and your penpals.
We’ll be reposting our favorites on social media, so stay tuned for those and the winner!
Don’t forget to check out our social media pages to see pictures of the prizes!

And the winner is... LUPINE! Thank you so much to everyone who played, and helped us celebrate the forum’s 5th birthday! We loved seeing all your pictures! Happy Birthday AWOSM! Thank you! Oh my GOSH!! I did not come prepared with a speech. It was an honor just to be nominated among so many talented peers. I'd like to dedicate this award to everyone to participated and to katiel who created, curated, and choreographed this event. I'd like to thank my beautiful Spouse -insert name- who has put up with all my nonsense over the years and made my dreams possible. And to my sixteen beautiful children (who had better all be in bed by now *winks*), and to my first grade teacher Mrs. -insert name- who told me I'd never learn to write legibly. Look at me now! And to all the little girls out there who've been told they should not waste their time and money on pens and inks and paper, follow your dreams and don't forget to wear sun screen. A very, very happy birthday to AWOSM! Five years is nothing to sneeze at. Your dedication to the beautiful art of human communication is very much appreciated and I sincerely hope that it is obvious to you that we appreciate you @mia. Folks need safe places to congregate and share and be heard. It means a lot. Thank you. Renée (Lupine)
