I ordered return address labels (in EU) pretty recently (and also a while back) and had no problems at all. Fair warning indeed that they want to sell you several extras just before payment. Just keep clicking "no" and you'll be fine Quality of the address stickers is always fine and they have quite a lot of templates to choose from, so I don't need more. Agree on looking for discount codes!

I knew the expression I usually mail off my letters within 3 days, so the 27th could be perfectly right. In that case it did travel for a long time!!

Ah okay, 7 days is still acceptable I guess.
I don't remember when I sent the letter you just received, what date did I write in the letter itself?

It has arrived!! Did it really take 10 days? That would be quite long, right? NL-USA is usually quicker, isn't it?

Domestic was €0.78 and will be €0.83. That's letters and postcards up to 20 grams. No additional charge for square postcards or envelopes. International was €1.33 and will be €1.40. Same rules apply

I have been in doubt whether to post about the price increase for stamps in The Netherlands and I didn't because it made me sad Both domestic and international mail will be more expensive again...

I haven't necessary received "bad" letters. But I have received short ones, when I initially wrote at least two pages. What bugs me more is when I don't get a respond when there has been a good correspondence before. No word as to why the penpalship has ended. Have you tried contacting these people in other ways? Maybe their latest letter got lost...

I'm pretty picky when it comes to friendships (= penpals), but it doesn't mean anyone writes bad letters. Some are just not very interesting to me, like very non-personal ones. That just doesn't work for me. Also, illegible ones annoy me a bit, to be honest, but luckily I've very rarely received such letters. Super-short ones I just don't get - why spend the paper, envelop, stamp and energy on a letter that has next to no content? Even weirder when it has being sent from a country with poor mail connections to mine, so I've waited 6 weeks for... almost nothing! (Happened recently, very late InCoWriMo penpal from Mexico) Maybe this sounded a little harsh and I don't mean to be - when you're a penpal of mine, I'm pretty loyal and I really don't mind a distracted or short letter (guilty!!) once in a while! Just not all the time

I'd like to know this! In Dutch, all combined words are spelled without a space, so I'm always struggling with these types of words in English. Does *not* help to know that there isn't even a rule for snailmail/ snail mail, lol

Similar story here! When I moved away at the age of 10, two of my friends and I corresponded. Email wasn't available to us yet and we didn't like calling (I still don't). The letters seem very boring now, btw! It stopped when we went to the same high school later on.
Got back to letter writing a few years ago (I'm 29), because of a few things. 1) I love putting fountain pen to paper and using beautiful inks on quality paper 2) I really like how writing letters slows down my world - it's slower than both talking and typing, so I feel more relaxed 3) Fellow letter writers are interesting people!
