I am thinking of having some letterheads done by, well, anyone really but I did look at Vista print.
Anyone had experience with them or with other printers for this type of thing?

I've used them for business cards and they were OK, though I'm not sure it was worth their logo being on the "free" (not after shipping) cards. Also they're a bit spammy and one member got inadvertently subscribed to something (discount club?) where they billed every month and didn't want to refund the money when they were caught. I've used iPrint for custom designed business cards off JPG artwork twice and had great results. Last purchase was in 2011, but they seem to still be around.

I've used Vistaprint (both in the EU and in the USA) for business cards and postcards, and also for trifold flyers. Quality is acceptable (not perfect) and fine if you need a large volume of something to give away. Beware the checkout process where they make you say "no" to what seems like 100s of different add-ons. Always find a sale or promo code, don't pay full price.
For custom stationery, if you want something really nice, I'd say go elsewhere.

I'm not sure if it was VistaPrint, or some other company, but I recall there being a thread somewhere on A World of Snail Mail, about people experiencing some fraudulent billing practices for one of these type of companies.
I don't remember which section it was in . . . .

Relevant bit being:
Don't think they still have that, or were doing in when I ordered the once, but yeah, it's VistaPrint. With a promo they are cheap, but not _that_ much cheaper than less sketchy printers.

I ordered return address labels (in EU) pretty recently (and also a while back) and had no problems at all. Fair warning indeed that they want to sell you several extras just before payment. Just keep clicking "no" and you'll be fine Quality of the address stickers is always fine and they have quite a lot of templates to choose from, so I don't need more. Agree on looking for discount codes!

They stole nearly $1,500 from us with their fraudulent billing practices. There are many lawsuits against them for this. I will never order from them again.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
I have shelved it for the moment and will most probably just have my own made up and print them meself!
