USPS has released a sneak preview of next year's stamps. Bioluminescent life and O Beautiful could be my favourites. Also, at the bottom of the preview, there's encouragement for the public to submit stamp suggestions- they need at least 3 years to research and seek approval, so no point suggesting something's 100th anniversary in 2019.

The "O Beautiful", "Love Flourishes", and the "Birds in Winter" stamps look good; the bioiluminescent stamps could be pretty as well but the detail doesn't look great. The other stamps seem too geometric and straight-lined from what I can tell; we'll have to see what they look like once they're in circulation.
The Byodo-In stamp is fantastic but I wish it wasn't a Priority Mail stamp. I've been to Byodo-In and it's pretty impressive, albeit you have to drive through a cemetery to get there!
ETA: The Meyer lemons is also a good stamp as are the 5- and 10-cent fruit stamps; I may not have a use for that low of a denomination to warrant a sheet.

I like the bioluminescent stamps, and I'm looking forward to the Year of the Dog stamps. I've been picking up extra sheets of the Chinese New Year stamps so I can use them next time that year rolls around.

I bought old stock of Canada Post's Year of the Dog stamp 6 years ago and now, Finally, It's my year to shine! Vintage Year of the Dog Stamps are in use on my letters this year Unfortunately it was before the advent of Forever stamps so I have to do some funky math to make their 51 cent value work for anything hah

They're out, just got two panels. Photo from someone on the Facebook "fountain pen friends" group. They seem iridescent, or reflective/metallic ink anyway. I love that, along with the sharks and the old celebrate stamps, they're doing more bright colors on a black background. I had a quilt like that. Should get another some day. Edit: got the panels off the website as I have no hope of the post office having anything interesting in stock

I preorder all the new issues from the USPS online store. I asked my local post office about the Bioluminescents and the woman was very insistent that she hadn’t even heard of them (“Bio what?) yet, and that she knows a month in advance blah blah. My online order showed up 2 days later. So I got mine just over a week ago. They are BEAUTIFUL. The Illinois commemorative is really nice, too.
