As long as it is $1.20 or more it will get there. The catch is it used to be $1.15. So check your math

I don't see an announced date of issue. From what I can tell all the old Global stamps must be sold out or have otherwise been withdrawn from service and are not for sale on the web. I have had to buy denominations to add up to $1.20. I t is a bit of a pain. I didn't love the old stamps and can't tell yet whether I'll like the new, but I prefer using one stamp to two or three. Yeah when I went to the post office they didn't have international forever stamps either. The guy said I could use 2 regular forever stamps & one extra ounce stamp. Hopefully that's true and I won't get mail kicked back. Scored two sheets of Globals at the Main Post Office in the district. Don't know whether to use them now or stay with the substitutes and save these for when the price inevitably goes up.

they didnt have global forever stamps when i ordered stamps the other day (local post office is always out of stamps) so I sent USPS a question about it (mainly inquiring as to whether they were doing away with them). Apparently they are due to be available again sometime this month but no specific date was given.

As long as it is $1.20 or more it will get there. Yep, I usually used three Forever (49¢) since that's the only kind I had. Four 35¢ postcard is pretty close, too. I just placed an order from usps.com (the $1.30 shipping kills me, dunno why, just seems like the post office shouldn't have to pay to ship stuff) for new forevers (Harry Potter and Celebrate) since InCoWriMo is going to kill my current stock. I still have 8 globals from last year, but it would have added interest to use some other $1.20 combinations. They have two 60¢ designs that would be exact, or the pretty $1 wave plus two 10¢ pears.

My current stamp combination of choice is two forever stamps and the penguin. Also the butterfly 71 cent and 1 forever work too. I also buy discounted postage on eBay... It gives a lot of variety to my letters.... Though lots of postage on postcards can be tricky space wise.

Oh, I want the Star Trek stamps! I've already got the Harry Potter ones from the US and a Lord of the Rings stamp from New Zealand. Other than that I have a strange liking for stamps displaying royalties. I've got some from Jamaica (British royalties) and the Netherlands. But I don't collect stamps systematically any more. I'm just happy about the little treasures that I receive from penpals. On the theme of Star Trek, Canada has a Star Trek stamps issue.

The USPS website says the planets should be out today... but our main post office only had Shirley Temple as their newest release. Hopefully they'll get in stock soon! I get easily bored with the stamps on hand.
