Actually, thinking about it, I wasn't 100% happy with the actual wax. ^was taken before putting tape on.

Is it hard wax or soft. I found the hard, more authentic wax, cracks more easily.

It was softer than my usual waxes (Stuart Houghton).

Isn't this so cute? I got it in the mail a few days ago. Another picture of the back is on my blog, along with my pathetic envelope I printed on, which looks ridiculous compared to this offering. kindwordsstationery.blogspot.ca/

Very cute, thanks for sharing.

What is the minimum size, dimension of paper needed to make an envelope. I realize it depends on size, shape etc but generally?

What is the minimum size, dimension of paper needed to make an envelope. I realize it depends on size, shape etc but generally? From a single piece of paper, you need something twice the area of your folded letter plus a little bit for glueing. You can make envelopes from more than one sheet, though, just glue them together with a little bit of overlap. An easy way to do this is to have two sheets slightly larger than your folded letter, and then simply folding and glueing the edges so that one forms the back, the other the front. I mentioned it in another thread recently, but anything dimensioned roughly like a A4 / A5 / B4 / B5 sheet can be made into an envelope for an identically sized sheet tri-folded. Just put the letter sideways on the sheet, wrap and glue, then trim and fold the ends. Envelopes with triangular flaps will have more waste, unless your letter is perfectly square.

Thanks, nice explanation. May try this sometime this winter.

Wow, I like the custom envelopes y'all are making! I put the template/cutter thing Phil mentioned on the first page on my wish list.
Where do y'all get the fun looking adhesive tapes?
